Deutsche Bank AG Chief Executive Officer Josef Ackermann was criticized by German politicians after reportedly saying he would be ``ashamed'' to accept state aid. (...) The German government is ``very critical'' of the Deutsche Bank CEO's remarks, which were ``extremely alarming,'' Thomas Steg, a spokesman for Chancellor Angela Merkel, told reporters in Berlin today. Banks that use state aid are ``courageous'' and ``responsible,'' Steg added.
